Adverse light conditions have surely been an issue for most integrators who are working with e-gates or kiosks where usually hoodless scanners are installed. Direct sunlight or strong artificial light may easily interfere with scanning. Both OCR and authentication results can be affected by ambient light – with critical consequences in real life situations in any application areas, especially when the passenger flow or the security of payment transactions depend on such technology.

This pioneering Adaptive Light Control feature compensates for external light interference and make routine operation independent of the environment. Because it all begins with perfect imaging.
Combo Smart Kiosk provides high-resolution 500 PPI imaging with the help of visible white, IR and UV illumination. It performs MRZ OCR and 1D/2D barcode reading from printed documents or smartphone screens. The scanner’s physical design is optimized for building into kiosks, desks and vending machines.
This passport scanner offers complete RFID reading support for BAC, EAC, EAC2.0, PA, AA, PC/SC interfaces and complies with ISO, ICAO and BSI standards, while supports BAC, PACE, EAC, AA and PA as well as CA, TA, BAP and EAP.
Combo Smart Kiosk comes with a Software Development Kit with Windows and Linux compatibility, including APIs and development support for C/C++, C#, Visual Basic, .NET, Java.
